Hunger Games is a violent book written by Suzanne Collins. In this book , there is a girl named Katniss Everdeen , who is a hunter. Her father died in a mine blast. She gets selected for the hunger games after volunteering her sister. She doesn't die. She develops a friendship with Rue.Katniss and Rue share their secrets ,food and help each other. One day a boy from District 1 kills Rue, heartbroken, Katniss kills that boy by firing an arrow through his neck. Peeta Mellark ,another boy from Katniss' district, invents a love story between him and Katniss .they keep on acting as lovers till they come in the top 3. Before they think that there can only be one winner in the hunger games but then that rule is changed. the rule becomes that if two tributes of the same district remain , then they can be termed as the winners of the hunger games.after Cato gets killed both of them think that they have won but then they change the rule again that there is only one winner of the hunger games. they think of eating poison together but then after seeing this the judges prevent them and term them as the winners of the Hunger games.However,the adventure is to be continued in the second book of the Hunger games :#2 Catching Fire.
